  • Diet: Gluten Free

Description

This Strawberry-Chocolate Greek Yogurt Bark is a delightful and healthy frozen treat combining creamy whole-milk Greek yogurt, naturally sweetened with maple syrup or honey, fresh sliced strawberries, and mini chocolate chips. Perfect as a refreshing snack or dessert, it’s easy to prepare and great for warm days.

Ingredients

Scale

Yogurt Mixture

  • 3 cups whole-milk plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toppings

  • 1 ½ cups sliced strawberries
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
  2. Mix Yogurt Base: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, pure maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Stir well until smooth and evenly mixed.
  3. Spread Yogurt: Pour the yogurt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread it out evenly into a 10-by-15-inch rectangle using a spatula.
  4. Add Toppings: Scatter the sliced strawberries evenly over the yogurt layer, then sprinkle the mini chocolate chips on top.
  5. Freeze: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze until the bark is very firm, at least 3 hours.
  6. Serve: Once fully frozen, remove from the freezer and cut or break the bark into 32 pieces. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  • Use whole-milk Greek yogurt for the creamiest texture, but low-fat or non-fat Greek yogurt can also be used.
  • Maple syrup or honey can be adjusted to your desired sweetness level.
  • For a vegan option, swap Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt alternative and use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Bark pieces can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
  • Feel free to add other toppings such as chopped nuts or seeds for additional texture and flavor.
