Snickers Salad Recipe

  • Author: Elara
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

Snickers Salad is a delightful, creamy dessert salad that combines instant vanilla pudding, whipped topping, crisp Granny Smith apples, chopped Snickers bars, and an optional caramel drizzle. This sweet and crunchy treat is perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, or as an indulgent snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Salad Base

  • 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip (or 1 cup heavy whipping cream, beaten to stiff peaks)

Fruits and Candy

  • 6 Granny Smith apples (divided, reserve 1 for garnish)
  • 6 full-size Snickers bars (divided, reserve 1 for garnish)

Optional

  • ¼ cup caramel sauce (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Make pudding: In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and whole milk until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no lumps.
  2. Fold in whipped topping: Gently fold the Cool Whip or the whipped cream into the pudding mixture, combining well to create a light, fluffy base.
  3. Prepare apples: Core and chop five of the Granny Smith apples into bite-sized pieces. To prevent browning if making ahead, toss them with lemon juice or 7-Up, then pat the pieces dry.
  4. Chop Snickers bars: Chop five of the Snickers bars into bite-sized pieces, saving one bar and one apple for garnish.
  5. Combine apples and Snickers: Fold the chopped apples and Snickers pieces gently into the pudding mixture until evenly distributed. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  6. Add garnish and caramel: Just before serving, slice the reserved apple and chop the reserved Snickers bar for garnish. Place them on top of the salad and drizzle with caramel sauce if desired. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • To keep the apples from browning, toss them with lemon juice or 7-Up right after chopping.
  • You can substitute Cool Whip with freshly whipped heavy cream for a richer texture.
  • For added flavor, the caramel drizzle is optional but highly recommended.
  • Snickers Salad is best served chilled and within a day for optimal freshness.
  • This recipe is a sweet dessert salad and should be stored covered in the refrigerator.
