Crust
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Topping
- 4 cups chocolate chips
- 1 package mini marshmallows (about 10–12 oz)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking the crust.
- Prepare Pan: Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Make Crust: In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until the mixture is evenly moistened.
- Form Crust: Press the graham cracker and butter mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pan, creating an even layer.
- Bake Crust: Bake the crust for 8 minutes to set it.
- Add Toppings: Remove the pan from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the hot crust, followed by an even layer of mini marshmallows on top.
- Bake Again: Return the pan to the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the marshmallows turn golden brown and toasted.
- Cool & Chill: Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely, then place them in the refrigerator to firm up for about an hour.
- Serve: Cut into bars and serve chilled or at room temperature for the best gooey and melty experience.
Notes
- For a nuttier twist, add chopped nuts such as pecans or walnuts on top before adding marshmallows.
- Use semi-sweet chocolate chips for a balanced sweetness or milk chocolate for a creamier taste.
- These bars can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
