Ingredients

Scale

Seafood

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Pasta & Cheese

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Sauce & Toppings

  • 4 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pasta: Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the noodles carefully and set them aside.
  2. Cook the Seafood: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Add the crab meat, season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, then cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup Parmesan, heavy cream, and freshly chopped parsley. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Assemble the Lasagna Layers: Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce across the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange a layer of lasagna noodles on top. Spread one-third of the cheese mixture evenly over the noodles, followed by one-third of the seafood mixture. Drizzle with Alfredo sauce. Repeat this layering two more times, finishing with a final layer of noodles covered with Alfredo sauce.
  5. Add Toppings and Bake: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top layer. Add breadcrumbs for a crunchy texture. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  6. Rest and Serve: Remove the lasagna from the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with extra parsley if desired to add a fresh touch.

Notes

  • Ensure the seafood is fully cooked but not overcooked to maintain tenderness.
  • For easier layering, cool the noodles slightly after boiling to prevent sticking.
  • Use fresh parsley for the best flavor in the cheese mixture and as garnish.
  • Breadcrumbs add a nice crunchy topping, but can be omitted for a softer top.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best results.
