- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the cookies evenly.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar using an electric mixer for about 2 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the instant butterscotch pudding mix, eggs, and vanilla extract until all ingredients are fully incorporated and smooth.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined to avoid overworking the dough.
