  • Author: Elara
  • Total Time: 2 hours 25 minutes
  • Yield: About 4 dozen pieces 1x

Description

Crockpot Candy is a delicious, easy-to-make treat combining salted and unsalted peanuts with melting semi-sweet chocolate chips, German chocolate baking bar, peanut butter chips, and white almond bark. Slow-cooked in a crockpot, the mixture melts into a rich, nutty candy that sets perfectly in the fridge, making it an ideal sweet snack or gift.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 jar (16 ounces) salted peanuts
  • 1 jar (16 ounces) unsalted peanuts
  • 1 bag (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 bar (8 ounces) German chocolate baking bar
  • ⅓ cup (79 g) peanut butter chips
  • 2 packages (24 ounces each) white almond bark
  • Sprinkles (for garnish, optional)
  • Sea salt (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crockpot: In the bowl of a crockpot, add salted peanuts, unsalted peanuts, semi-sweet chocolate chips, German chocolate bar broken into pieces, peanut butter chips, and white almond bark.
  2. Set Heat and Start Cooking: Place the lid on the crockpot and set it to low heat. Let the ingredients start to melt as they cook.
  3. First Stir: After about 45 minutes to 1 hour when the ingredients have begun to melt, remove the lid and stir gently to combine.
  4. Continue Cooking: Replace the lid and cook on low heat for an additional 1 to 1 hour and 15 minutes until everything is fully melted and well blended.
  5. Final Stir: Remove the lid and stir the melted mixture thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are fully combined.
  6. Prepare the Candy Shapes: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop heaping tablespoons of the warm mixture onto the sheet, creating dollops.
  7. Set the Candy: Optionally sprinkle with sprinkles or a pinch of sea salt on top of each dollop. Refrigerate the baking sheet for about 20 minutes or until the candy has fully set and hardened.
  8. Serve and Store: Once set, the candy can be served immediately or stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Use low heat on the crockpot to avoid scorching the chocolate.
  • If you prefer a smoother candy, stir gently but consistently while melting.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract before melting.
  • Make sure cookies or treats are fully cooled before removing from parchment paper to prevent breaking.
  • Store candy in the refrigerator as melted almond bark and chips can soften at room temperature.
