Cranberry Brie Bites Recipe

  • Author: Elara
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 24 mini bites 1x

Description

These Cranberry Brie Bites are delightful mini appetizers perfect for holiday gatherings or any special occasion. Flaky crescent dough surrounds creamy brie cheese, topped with tangy whole berry cranberry sauce and a hint of fresh rosemary, baked to a golden perfection for a warm, savory-sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 8 ounce crescent dough sheet (or crescent rolls, seams pinched together)
  • All-purpose flour (for dusting the dough and cutting board)

Filling

  • 8 ounce wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce (not jellied)
  • Fresh rosemary sprig (about 2, depending on length)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare muffin tin: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a 24-count mini muffin tin with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Roll out dough: Dust your counter or cutting board with a little all-purpose flour, then roll out the 8-ounce crescent dough sheet. If using crescent rolls, pinch the seams together to create one uniform sheet.
  3. Cut dough squares: Slice the rolled dough into 24 equal-sized squares to fit into the mini muffin tin slots.
  4. Assemble dough in tin: Place each dough square carefully into the muffin tin slots, pressing gently to form little cups.
  5. Add brie cheese: Cut the 8-ounce wheel of brie into small pieces and place one piece inside each dough square in the muffin tin.
  6. Top with cranberry sauce: Spoon a generous amount of whole berry cranberry sauce onto the brie in each dough cup.
  7. Add rosemary: Place a small fresh rosemary sprig piece on top of each bite for aroma and flavor.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until the crescent dough is a light golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Serve warm: Remove from oven and serve the cranberry brie bites warm for best flavor and gooey texture.

Notes

  • You can substitute fresh rosemary with dried rosemary if needed, but fresh rosemary provides the best aroma and taste.
  • Ensure the cranberry sauce is whole berry, not jellied, for added texture contrast.
  • Cool the bites slightly before removing from muffin tin to maintain shape.
  • These bites are best enjoyed fresh but can be previewed for up to 2 days if tightly covered and reheated.
  • You may also experiment with adding a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness if desired.
