- Prepare the Cereal: In an extra-large mixing bowl, add 10 cups of Rice Chex cereal and set it aside.
- Make the Chocolate Mixture: In a medium heat-safe mixing bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, and softened butter. Microwave the mixture for 45 seconds, then stir. Continue microwaving in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Coat the Cereal: Pour the smooth chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the Rice Chex cereal. Stir carefully until all the cereal pieces are completely coated.
- Add the Powdered Sugar: Transfer the coated cereal and the powdered sugar into a 2-gallon resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag tightly and shake well to thoroughly coat all the cereal pieces with powdered sugar.
